The team you will be a part of
The Supply and Logistics team is responsible for keeping the appropriate levels of materials and/or stock supplies with the aim to maximize inventory control and company sales. Organizes deliveries to meet given deadlines and customer expectations. Supervises and tracks the flow of materials and products from suppliers throughout the organization.
This role in summary
We are looking for a Supply Chain Design Manager who will develop supply chain strategy and action plans to enhance and support optimization of the distribution network. Working closely with the Senior Manager of Engineering and Operations Enablement, this role will lead the Supply Chain Design team and drive network modeling efforts. The Manager is responsible for participating in modeling strategy sessions with senior leaders, documentation of data, and mentorship/coaching of the team on technical skills development. This role will be the super-user for the modeling and data tools used by the team. This role may split project-management duties with the Senior Manager.
Your responsibilities will include
• Develop supply chain network optimization models for network, transportation, and inventory optimization and/or simulation.
• Determine optimal site locations, inventory levels, and transportation strategies (lanes and mix).
• Lead projects and stakeholders in modeling complex scenarios, demonstrating expertise in collecting and managing large data sets. Analyze and document project objectives, requirements, and approach.
• Identify improvement opportunities, propose solution alternatives, and quantify benefits to the integrated supply chain.
• Create presentations, data visualizations, and financial impact analyses of various scenarios, presenting recommendations to executives.
• Collaborate with the Sr. Manager to develop methodologies for planning, analyzing, and executing supply chain engineering projects. Monitor processes and document best practices.
• Leverage substantial knowledge of supply chain practices and procedures to navigate data and technology challenges, upgrades, and changes.
• Perform data analysis, cleansing, and database development.
Minimum requirements
• 4 year degree, preferably in Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Business, Finance or related function
• Minimum of 5-7 years of related experience in supply chain, operations, or engineering is required either in strategy consulting or industry roles in supply chain.
• Strong collaboration and influencing skills and excellent communication skills (oral and written)
• Good computer skills for working with large amounts of data, including proficiency with Google Office tools and databases is a must
Preferred skills and experiences
• 3+ years of demonstrated experience in supply chain design or similar
• Experience with some of the following types of supply chain modeling: network design and optimization, inventory optimization, simulation, greenfield, transportation routing optimization, process and material flow optimization.
• Hands on experience with SAP systems, ETL and data visualization and analytical tools such as Alteryx, Tableau, SQL, Excel, Google, Python, or other related tools
• Experience in leading and managing projects; ability to take ownership of the program deliverables, timeline, and budget; ensuring that individual project objectives are achieved on-time with a high degree of quality.
• 3+ years using Network Optimization Tools: Optilogic Cosmic Frog preferred or LLamasoft Supply Chain Guru
• Masters Degree – Operations Research or Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering or Data Science.
