Primary Purpose and Function:
Responsible for the configuration, set-up, implementation and ongoing maintenance on the shop floor control/manufacturing schedule. Source, purchase, and expedite product in accordance to production and Material Requirements Planning. Purchase machines in accordance with Sales/Operations Planning and Sales Activities.
Responsibilities:
Purchasing Duties:
• Analyze and Execute Material Requirements Planning
o Confirm/Send appropriate Purchase Orders to Vendors
o Adjust component schedules with suppliers based on analysis
o Update Purchase Order data based on order confirmations
• Item Master Maintenance (Supplier/Pricing etc, for production parts)
o Fully responsible for accuracy of Item Data on items assigned by Supervisor/Manager
• Generate Projects and Purchase Orders for Core Product purchases
• Maintain specification changes and arrival schedules for Core Product purchases
• Analyze potential International to Domestic Component Source Changes
• Invoice Discrepancy Resolution
• Receiving Dept. Discrepancy Resolution
Planning Duties:
• Plan and schedule production activities
• Prepare monthly on-time delivery reporting for Supervisor/Manager
• Review Bill of Materials and Confirm Material Availability for manufactured items
• Analyze recurring orders and implement process/material improvement plan to reduce lead time on these items
• Support production operations with sound and accurate purchasing schedules for assigned items
• Plan/Maintain Build to Stock Option Schedule
• Manufacturing Production Order Creation (as needed)
• Clean Up and maintenance of All Production Orders
• Assist Supervisor/Manager in ensuring inventory goals are achieved
• Assist Supervisor/Manager in Quarterly Slow Moving Inventory Analysis
• Production Item Profiling
• Create USA Sourcing Plan for New Product/Control Introductions
Qualifications:
• Degree in Business Management, Purchasing/Supply Chain Management or Accounting
• Experience in purchasing/planning and shop floor management
• Experience with ERP based MRP/MPS functionality
• Ability to speak and write clearing and effectively to both internal and external customers
• Self-motivated to improved existing processes
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and task
• Microsoft Office literate
