**Summary of Role:**
The Associate Director will oversee food safety and quality programs at Mizkan facilities, ensuring alignment with company policies and values. Responsibilities include managing product safety, quality, and regulatory compliance, as well as driving continuous improvement initiatives.
**Essential Duties and Responsibilities:**
– Bring expertise in consumer-packaged food quality, safety, and regulatory compliance
– Develop and support plant Quality Managers and staff
– Ensure employee safety and product quality at plant level
– Manage product releases and non-conforming goods control
– Drive implementation of plant quality management systems
– Collaborate with operational teams to resolve quality issues and drive improvements
**Education, Experience, and Qualifications:**
– BS in Food Science, Food Engineering, or related fields; MS preferred
– 10+ years of food industry experience with 5+ years in factory quality management
– Experience in food ingredient and retail industries preferred
– Strong computer literacy and statistical skills
– Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment and deliver results
– Problem-solving skills and attention to detail
– Willingness to adapt to changing priorities and drive continuous improvement
**Other Details:**
– Travel up to 35% required

– Annual base salary: $142,000 to $195,000 (dependent on experience and location)
