**Overview**
This role reports to the Director of Paper Services on the Direct Materials Procurement team and will be responsible for category strategy activities supporting packaging and commercial print plants. The role involves working closely with business stakeholders to develop and execute category strategies to reduce total cost of ownership and ensure supply continuity.
**Responsibilities**
– Develop, communicate, and implement procurement strategies for assigned categories
– Partner with internal stakeholders to understand strategic direction and business priorities
– Achieve business requirements while capturing value and improving processes
– Build and sustain strategic relationships with key suppliers
– Research, evaluate, and qualify new suppliers as needed
– Negotiate supplier agreements with KPIs, SLAs, and continuous improvement efficiencies
– Conduct successful sourcing events, negotiations, and market analysis
– Update systems with current documentation and terms
– Perform additional responsibilities as needed
**Qualifications**
– Bachelor’s degree in business management or supply chain
– 10+ years of strategic experience in folding carton, board, printing industry
– In-depth knowledge of folding carton board and substrate applications
– Project management experience
– Ability to build strategic partnerships and collaborate across teams and with suppliers
– Ability to analyze data and identify opportunities aligning with strategies
– Excellent communication skills
– Proficiency in Google and MS Office applications
– Occasional travel required
**Additional Information**
– National pay range: $74,600 to $156,800 / year
– Pay may vary based on factors like education, skills, experience, and location
– Total compensation package may include bonus, commission, or incentive programs
