**Job Title:** Director, Dry Dock Procurement

**Position Summary:**
The Director of Dry Dock Procurement will oversee all facets of procurement for spare parts, consumables, services, and facilities project contracts in support of a global cruise ship fleet. This role involves strategic planning, supplier management, operational excellence, risk management, value creation, team leadership, and development.
**Key Responsibilities:**
– Develop and execute comprehensive procurement strategies
– Oversee negotiations and contract preparations
– Manage daily transactional operations
– Identify and cultivate relationships with strategic suppliers
– Ensure procurement activities align with technical, safety, and compliance requirements
– Design and implement strategies to mitigate supply chain risks
– Lead and mentor a team of buyers
– Negotiate with outside suppliers and contractors
– Develop and implement financial plans
– Coordinate with vessels and shipyards on equipment procurement
– Establish best practices and policies for purchasing
– Provide leadership and development to department staff
– Translate strategy into specific annual performance goals and objectives
**Qualifications:**
– Bachelor’s degree in related field, Master’s degree preferred
– 15 years of experience in sourcing and contracting, with engineering environment experience
– Strong communication skills
– Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
– Multi-cultural work experience
– Demonstrated leadership skills
– Excellent negotiation and strategy development abilities
– Proficiency in Microsoft Office
– Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time
**Work Environment:**
– Office and shipboard work environment
– Travel required, both domestic and international
– Physical demands include sitting, standing, writing, and lifting up to 15 pounds
– Visual requirements include distant, close, and color vision
