Position Summary:
LogicSource is seeking a full-time Manager for their Westport, CT headquarters. This role will be a key member of the Strategic Sourcing team, reporting to the Managing Director, Strategic Sourcing- Distribution & Logistics. The Manager will be responsible for leading and managing engagements within clients’ Distribution and Logistics Spend, including Retail 3PL, Truckload, LTL, Ocean, Air, and Warehousing.
Responsibilities:
– Develop and manage Sourcing and Procurement engagements for various transportation modes
– Negotiate prices, schedules, turnaround times, and terms with suppliers
– Create and execute category strategies to optimize cost, quality, and service
– Identify and resolve operational, procurement, and relationship challenges
– Analyze trends and implement solutions for client deliverables
– Act as primary liaison between client business units and supply chain partners
– Build client relationships, identify new opportunities, and facilitate communication
– Provide exceptional customer service and ensure high client satisfaction
– Adapt to client culture while upholding professional standards
– Deliver detailed procurement reporting and cost savings tracking
– Monitor and evaluate supplier performance
– Recommend and implement process improvements for enhanced procurement efficiency
Qualifications:
– Bachelor’s degree required
– 5+ years of experience in 3PL, Small Parcel, Truckload, LTL categories
– Previous experience in sourcing logistics services and materials
– Knowledge of supplier communities in relevant categories
– Strong negotiating and problem-solving skills
– Familiarity with Sourcing Technology solutions (Coupa, Jaggaer, Keelvar, etc.)
– Proficiency in Excel/financial analysis and planning
– Strong organizational and communication skills
Travel:
Minimal travel may be required for this position.
