Vice President of Global Supply Chain

Sterling Specialty Chemicals is seeking a dynamic and experienced Vice President, Supply Chain to lead and optimize our end-to-end supply chain operations. This strategic leadership role is responsible for overseeing procurement, logistics, inventory management, demand planning, and supplier relationships to drive operational excellence and cost efficiency. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in Oil & Gas and at least 10 years of leadership experience in chemical manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership & Execution:Develop and implement a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with Sterling Specialty Chemicals’ business objectives.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and sustainability within the supply chain.Collaborate with executive leadership to align supply chain operations with corporate growth plans and market demands.Procurement & Supplier Management:Oversee strategic sourcing, supplier negotiations, and contract management to ensure cost-effective and high-quality material procurement.Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and logistics providers to mitigate risks and ensure a resilient supply chain.Monitor market trends and global supply chain dynamics to anticipate potential disruptions and develop contingency plans.Logistics, Distribution & Inventory Optimization:Lead end-to-end logistics including warehousing, transportation, and distribution to ensure timely and cost-efficient product delivery.Optimize inventory management processes to balance working capital efficiency while ensuring on-time production support.Implement technology-driven solutions for improved supply chain visibility and efficiency.Operational Excellence & Compliance:Ensure compliance with industry regulations, environmental policies, and safety standards within the supply chain.Drive cost reduction initiatives while maintaining operational quality and service levels.Lead cross-functional teams to enhance collaboration between supply chain, manufacturing, sales, and finance.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).10+ years of supply chain leadership experience in the chemical manufacturing industry (Oil & Gas sector experience is required).Proven track record in strategic procurement, logistics, and supply chain optimization within a global manufacturing environment.Expertise in ERP systems, demand planning tools, and supply chain analytics. SAP preferred.Strong leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills with the ability to drive change and transformation.Experience managing global suppliers, logistics networks, and complex supply chain operations.
